Wendy Achilles Adjunct

Wendy Achilles grew up in eastern North Carolina. She graduated from East Carolina University with both a B.S. and M.S. in accounting and holds a CPA license in North Carolina. She later earned her Ph.D. in accounting from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia.
Wendy began her career as a staff accountant with Arthur Andersen. In 1996, she returned to eastern North Carolina to become the tax manager for a multinational company headquartered in Wilson, North Carolina, where she was responsible for both domestic and international tax issues.
In 1999, she transitioned from industry to academia to pursue a career in teaching, which she enjoys for both its challenges and the flexibility it provides.
